The Republic of Plato

"The Republic" by Plato is one of the most influential works in Western philosophy and political theory. Written around 375 BCE, it is a Socratic dialogue in which Plato, through the character of Socrates, explores justice, the ideal state, and the nature of human beings. The work is divided into ten books and covers a range of philosophical topics.
